Fond Farewell

Barry Kadechuk was outgoing journey director for a journey by the club to the Sacramento and Mid-Willamette Valley clubs, June 4 to June 17, 2017. Here is a summary of the activities:

June 4--Arrive at Sacramento Airport

June 5--Lake Tahoe day trip.

June 6--Tour Capitol and Capitol Park; visit Old Town Sacramento.

June 7--Visit gold country.

June 8--Visit Calaveras Big Trees

June 9--Farewell party

June 10--Fly from Sacramento to Portland. Welcome party at home of Ted and Rita Powell

June 11--Free day, with small group dinners.

June 12-13--Visit Crater Lake and Diamond Lake. The first day was disappointing, because of fog, but the second day was clear and beautiful.

June 14--Visit Thompson's Mill--water-powered flour mill and electic generator.

June 15--Visit Hatfield Marine Center and Oregon beach.

June 16--Free day. Some of the group visited the Oregon state capitol.

June 17--Depart Portland Airport
